Dominique Morissette-Thomas, C. Tr., rév. a.
Dominique Morissette-Thomas holds a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Montreal with a major in Translation and a minor in Professional writing. Shortly after her studies, she starts her own language services business, La Langagière. Her clients include several companies from Quebec, Ontario and the United States as well as international agencies.
In 2016, Dominique successfully passes the French editing proficiency testing program of Editors Canada and thus becomes part of the first cohort of certified French editors in the world. She also becomes a member of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ) in the same period. These two certifications make her the first person in Quebec to be certified both in translation and French editing.
She currently pursues her studies at University of Montreal to get a Master in Translation. She intends to work on a research project about feedback between clients and freelance translators in a perspective of improving quality.
La Langagière is also a team of hand-picked collaborators!
